We are so so excited to introduce a brand new class for our Viva family … YOGA!
We had our very first class last night, and I’m telling you, it was amazing!
Yoga may seem intimidating for anyone who has never tried it before. Many of you may be associating yoga with crazy poses, and head stands and thinking to yourself, “Omg, I could never do that.” The great thing is that here at Viva we are introducing a completely customizable yoga class that will cater to yogis of all levels. Depending on your feedback, some classes will lean towards more of a workout, while others will have relaxation as the main goal. Plus as our lovely yoga instructor, Kristen, so wonderfully put it last night, you don’t have to come to yoga already being flexible, you come to yoga in order to become more flexible. The class is what helps you become better.
The practice of yoga has been around for thousands of years and it’s easy to understand why. There are so many truly unbelievable health benefits that can be achieved from consistently taking yoga classes. Here are just a few of them:

- release of tension – many of us have the unconscious habit of holding tension in our eyes, teeth and other parts of our bodies. One of the very first things you will learn during yoga is how to release that tension. This way you will be able to reach true relaxation and avoid chronic tension.

Like with any other fitness goals, you have to be patient with the process. I guarantee you will feel so good after your very first class, like I did, but remember consistency is key.
